In this case study our one of our Consultants reviewed the catering departments at a number of special schools within this County Council area. The schools cater for children aged 3 – 19 years with severe or profound learning difficulties. They may also have learning needs within the autistic spectrum.
During our review we looked at all areas of the catering departments including:
• Health and Safety
• Budgets and Finances
• Equipment & Systems
The Consultant provided the stakeholders within the schools a detailed report with an “Options Appraisal” and clear recommendations for change and the way forward. The consultancy also managed the procurement and tender process for the appointment of a new catering company. During the tender process we advised our client on the “OJEU” E.U. procurement rules, T.U.P.E and prepared a Service Specification and Contracts for the new service.
